Pozo Negro
When I started to write about places to visit
I realised that I was using the same words and phrases to
describe them. Thats because everywhere, in my opinion is
beautiful!!!
Pozo Negro is a small village on the beach, accessed from
a turn off just past the Antigua sign on the road going south
from the airport. It has about 30 houses, 3 restaurants and
a beautiful beach with great views of the bay. Fishing is
excellent from here and you can watch the locals fishing from
the rocks and if they have no luck they dive in off the rocks
and use their hands.
The best place to eat, drink and chill out is El Rincon (try
the prawns and spinach), but donīt forget to sign the visitors
book. If you mention the Grapevine enough times, maybe they
will advertise with me!
If any locals have a four wheel drive vehicle and want a challenging
route, let me know.
